1. Products

1.1. Will I get the watch that I see in the picture?
Yes, all of our product pictures are actual pictures of the replica items that we carry. We don't have small, distorted pictures, where you can barely see anything. We have large pictures of our watches so you can see the quality before you purchase.

1.2. Are the watches water-resistant?
Our Italian replicas are water resistant to 30m.
NOTE: very important aspect to keep in mind when putting any watch in the water is that the crown is screwed on tight. This is another reason why you should not try opening the back of the watch yourself, because if you don‘t screw it back on properly, water will get in.

1.3. Are all the markings and engravings on these watches accurate?
Yes, our replica watches have all the correct markings and engravings.

2. Movements

2.1. What is automatic (self-winding) movement?
An automatic is a mechanical watch whose mainspring is wound as a result of the wearer's arm motion.
It means the watch has a self-winding mechanical mechanism which allows it to run on its own without batteries.

2.2. How accurate are they?
Mechanical technology, by definition, is inferior to the extreme accuracy of an electronic watch. Automatics are plenty accurate for normal daily timekeeping, though. A normal automatic is accurate to within +30/-5 seconds a day, depending on the quality of the movement.

2.3. Is it safe to wind an automatic watch?
Sure. Winding the watch won't hurt it at all. If you haven't worn an automatic in a while, it is best to wind the stopped watch before putting it on. 10 to 15 turns of the crown is usually enough to give full power to the mainspring. Be aware that the barrel in an automatic movement doesn't have a hook so that you won't feel any resistance when the mainspring is fully wound. Don't worry; you can't over wind the watch.

2.4. Who invented the automatic watch?
The modern rotor system was developed and patented by Rolex and introduced into the Oyster line as the Oyster Perpetual in 1931. Emile Borer, Rolex's technical chief at the time, is credited with inventing the modern rotor system.

2.5. Why are they (automatic movement watches) so popular?
Many people appreciate the craft involved in making a mechanical automatic movement. They like the fact that this technology is hundreds of years old, involves many moving parts, yet keeps very accurate time. They appreciate the human element involved in an automatic watch, that the movement is assembled by hand. Others like the fact that automatics run on so-called "clean," natural energy--wrist power--and that there are no polluting batteries to dispose of.

2.6. What is a chronograph?
A chronograph is a watch that tells the time of day and also allows the user to time events of short-to-medium durations (i.e. from a few seconds to a few hours, typically).  This is usually done in a mechanical watch through the central seconds hand, and one or more sub dials (the regular, or continuous seconds, is also located on a dial).  Chronographs are of varying usefulness, and are an interesting complication to put on a watch, as they often give the watch a sporty image.

2.7. What is a sweeping second hand, and which watches have it?
A sweeping second hand means that the second hand sweeps smoothly instead of ticking once every second. Basically, it is a bunch of very small, rapid, tiny ticks combined that makes it look like it is sweeping smoothly. All automatic watches have a sweeping second hand. All quartz watches have a ticking second hand, so it’s easy to see the difference.
